| Con il lavoro Welcome to Britain si è cercato di sviluppare ulteriormente il contatto con la cultura dei paesi di lingua inglese. Il punto di partenza è stato l' osservazione di una mappa della Gran Bretagna. E' stata sviluppata negli alunni la consapevolezza geografica e culturale relativamente agli stati che compongono la Gran Bretagna e ai paesi dell'Europa occidentale che le sono vicini. E' stato utilizzato come guida il testo scolastico Treetops della classe 4^- Oxford, in linea con gli Obiettivi Generali delle Indicazioni Nazionali per la Scuola Primaria. | ||

Gli alunni hanno realizzato il lavoro in FrontPage con grande entusiasmo digitando i testi e inserendo i disegni al computer. Sono stati inseriti i lavori di tutti perchè ognuno a suo modo ha cercato di rappresentare graficamente i luoghi più famosi della Gran Bretagna. Il lavoro Welcome to Britain ha suscitato l'interesse e ha stimolato l'immaginazione dei bambini sviluppando un contatto positivo con la cultura inglese.
